Bucyrus CEO Up For Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Sullivan has led Oak Creek-based company since 2004.

Bucyrus International CEO Timothy Sullivan is one of 21 finalists in the Upper Midwest region for Ernst & Young's Entpreneuer of the Year Award.

“These finalists create jobs in our area by encouraging community development and innovation in our broader economy,” said Kevin Klimara, Ernst & Young partner and Entrepreneur Of The Year-Upper Midwest program director.

Sullivan became president and chief executive of Bucyrus in 2004. The company relocated to Oak Creek last year.

Finalists were selected by an independent judging panel made up of previous winners of the award, leading CEOs, private capital investors and other regional business leaders. The region includes companies based in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Other local nominees include Joseph Bartolotta, of Bartolotta Restaurants, and James Joel Quadracci, of Quad/Graphics.

The winners will be announced at a gala on June 15 at the Frontier Airlines Center in downtown Milwaukee.
