The lights are off at the Marathon gas station at the corner of Ryan Road and Howell Avenue, and it's not clear if they will be turned on again.
The station, 9502 S. Howell Ave., apparently closed sometime this month. The owner couldn't be reached for comment and no one was around when Patch stopped by Monday. But a few Patch readers e-mailed in to say the station has been closed for a week or more.
It wasn't immediately clear if the closure is temporary or permanent.
