New Vet Clinic Proposed For Oak Creek

An animal hospital/veterinary clinic is planned for the 8000 block of S. Howell Avenue.

An animal hospital/veterinary clinic would be built at 8020 S. Howell Avenue in Oak Creek, under a proposal submitted to the city.

The business would be a one-story building between 6,500 and 8,000 square feet on vacant land next to Chase Bank. About 15 employees would work there.

According to a report to Oak Creek Plan Commission members, the clinic would not have any outdoor kennels or cages and there would be no boarding of animals.

Business representatives are seeking a rezoning of the property and a conditional-use permit. The Plan Commission is scheduled to take up the proposal in its meeting Tuesday, which begins at 6 p.m. at Oak Creek City Hall, before forwarding a recommendation to the Common Council.

The council will hold a public hearing on the plan at a to-be-determined date.

The new veterinary clinic is the third proposed for Oak Creek in the last two years. Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists opened last April, while plans for an Animal Hospital of Oak Creek fell through.

Grow up. We won't forget either. That those of you who had a little bit, held tightfisted to it likeRead More a four year old unwilling to share his toy truck. That you endorsed and supported a man who has gone on to undermine this state, its jobs, its infrastructure, its education system, its people, its very foundation. You remember...it was you who did this.
