Oak Creek Academy of Performing Arts Opening Second Location

Oak Creek's Academy of Performing Arts, 9160 S. Pennsylvania Ave., has announced it will open a second location in Franklin.

The has operated in Oak Creek for the past seven years and has grown rapidly in that time. It started with three teachers and primarily focused on dance; , it had 19 teachers, more than 500 students and included acting and music classes, a preschool program and activities for adults.

The new location will be at 7221 S. 76th St. as part of the Franklin Centre, the strip mall anchored by Pick 'n Save. The space will include two dance rooms, a fine arts and academic preschool, two music rooms, dancewear and music retail in the lobby, and one multi-purpose room.

Residents can begin registering online for classes in Franklin at its official website June 1.
