Oak Creek Dunkin' Donuts Sets Grand Opening Festivities

Event includes Oak Creek High School groups and benefits Special Olympics Wisconsin.

The new Dunkin' Donuts in Oak Creek is planning a grand opening event Saturday that will include Special Olympics of Wisconsin athletes, Mayor Dick Bolender and the Oak Creek High School football team, cheerleading squad and band.

The festivities get under way at 7:30 a.m. with the football team, cheerleaders and Special Olympics athletes selling travel mugs and coupons, with proceeds benefitting Special Olympics Wisconsin.

With the purchase, customers can enter a raffle. Prizes include a pair of Packers tickets.

The drumline will perform from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. At that time, Dunkin' Donuts will present a $3,000 check to Special Olympics Wisconsin to support the organization's new flag football program. It will also donate $1,000 to Oak Creek High School.

The event will also include facepainting and balloon animals. Two radio stations - WMIL-FM (106.1) and Radio Now 97.3 FM - will broadcast from the restaurant.

Dunkin' Donuts opened the doors on its new Oak Creek restaurant Nov. 3. It is open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
