Starr Group Named Chamber's 'Business of the Year'

The Gateway to Milwaukee takes home Pride in Premises honors.

The South Suburban Chamber of Commerce has named The Starr Group the winner of its 2011 Business of the Year award.

The Starr Group, an insurance/risk management agency, was founded in 1956 by Robert Starr and is now under the leadership of Mary and Tim Starr.

Though it's based in Greenfield, the business has been active in the South Suburban Chamber and many other south-shore organizations, according to an Oak Creek Common Council resolution.
