Wedding Chapel Coming to Market Place?

Mobile Ministry Inc. is proposing to open a wedding chapel in the Market Place Village, at the corner of Puetz and Chicago roads.

A wedding chapel could be the next new business in the Market Place Village.

The Oak Creek Plan Commission will review a proposal from Mobile Ministry Inc. to open a wedding chapel at 8625 S. Market Place.

Under the plans, the business would be used for weddings, commitment ceremonies and baptisms. The chapel could hold a maximum of 50 people at a time.

Owners believe the chapel would help other small businesses in the Market Place, near the corner of Puetz and Chicago roads.

"We see this wedding chapel having a positive effect on local area businesses such as hotels, florists and gift shops as well as tux rental places," Rev. Jim Myers said in a letter to the Plan Commission. "We strongly believe in giving back to the community and being a resource of support for all."
