A new frozen yogurt business at Howell Avenue and Puetz Road in Oak Creek is just about ready to open.
Workers are putting the finishing touches on YoFresh Yogurt Cafe, 8701 S. Howell Ave., before it officially opens its doors at 11 a.m. Monday.
The self-serve restaurant offers a variety of flavors and toppings so customers can mix and match as they please.
YoFresh Yogurt also serves gourmet coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate, co-owner Steve Karabon said. Soups may be added later.
The store's hours, at least to start, are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
A grand opening celebration is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 1.
Karabon is opening the franchise in Oak Creek with his fiancee, Annie Piontek. It's part of the multi-tenant North Shore Bank building, which also includes El Fogon.
Karabon said the feedback has been great so far, with many residents expressing their enthusiasm for the restaurant's impending opening.
"We're happy to offer something like this, which is not available on this side of town," Karabon said. "We hope it's well-received."
