Movie's Message Rings True!

The Odd Life of Timothy Green hits close to home.

Yesterday, Mark and I went and saw the movie "The Odd Life of Timothy Green." We were curious to see how adoption would be portrayed in a movie.

I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen the movie but it was nice to see them portray the parents just being ordinary people who make mistakes as parents. I can tell you when we adopted Kobi we were nervous. Yes, we had raised a daughter who turned out pretty good but what was it going to be like to raise a son.

It was a very moving movie and I will admit, I felt like shedding a few tears but like the couple in the movie, I just felt so lucky that Kobi came in to our lives.

Everyday is something new with Kobi. His expressions, his mannerisms and his smile, well let's just say it could melt your heart!

Even if you never think about fostering a child or adopting a child, it is definitely a movie worth seeing because there will be something in the movie that makes you think about your children, I guarantee it!

Mark and I have always felt very blessed to have 2 wonderful children and this movie just clinched it for us!

Grow up. We won't forget either. That those of you who had a little bit, held tightfisted to it likeRead More a four year old unwilling to share his toy truck. That you endorsed and supported a man who has gone on to undermine this state, its jobs, its infrastructure, its education system, its people, its very foundation. You remember...it was you who did this.
