The holidays are upon us!

Seeing the Christmas season through the eyes of a child.

So Kobi made it through Halloween and seemed to really enjoy himself. He, like many children, is still eating his Halloween candy. Knowing that he can only have 2 pieces a day makes him very selective over what he takes. I do have to say his Halloween bucket became pretty low, pretty quick. Gee, I wonder if one of his parents helped him eat his candy?

We had a very nice Thanksgiving which was also "Celebrate Kobi" since it is two years since he has been adopted. His favorite thing was to ask me, "Mommy, do you know what I am thankful for?" He would reply, "You!" I have to admit that touched me in ways I can't explain. He is a very loving and caring boy.

Now that the official shopping season has begun, I wondered if Kobi would understand Christmas better this year. Well, I got my answer pretty quick. Every time he sees a toy advertised on the TV that he likes, he wants it. We told him he would have to ask Santa. The one thing he wants more than anything is the Batman Cave. When I told him he would have to ask Santa, his reply was, "that's OK, I will just ask grandma." I guess it didn't take him long to figure out who is supposed to be the softy.

I am anxious to see how much fun he has helping us with the Christmas tree. One thing he keeps telling us is we have to have candy canes on the tree so I went out and bought some. I am wondering if they will stay on the Christmas tree through the Christmas season or if they will slowly disappear. I guess only time will tell.

Happy shopping all!
