Thoughtfulness is Priceless!

We have watched Kobi grow in so many ways.

When we first started foster care, we had a lot of questions that I think everybody has when they consider taking in a child they don't know. Questions like, will he/she be a sickly child? Will they misbehave? Will they just not want to be here?

As you have heard me say before, when Kobi first came to us when he was 6 months old, he was very withdrawn and sad. It was hard to get a smile out of him but I was determined to teach that little boy how to laugh.

Now Kobi has the cutest giggle and I love listening to him laugh.

Part of Kobi's personality is his gene for kindness. He can get very upset with you, though, if he wants to help you and he can't.

His latest act of kindness: holding my door open for me no matter where we go. It is cute to listen to him grunt and groan when he can't get the door open because it is too heavy. I still am using crutches and not allowed to walk for a while yet and Kobi is determined to help me.Β

Even though Kobi is not our biological son, he has so many good qualities like our daughter. May he always stay as loving and caring as his big sister!
