Our sixth installment recalls the Oak Creek Knights' 9-0 regular season and top seeding in the WIAA football playoffs. Oak Creek's incredible season included an outright Southeast Conference championship, a memorable 24-7 victory at Franklin and the team's first playoff appearence since 2009.

Unfortunately, Oak Creek's season came to a stunning end in the second round at the hands of Kenosha Bradford.

After polishing off a perfect regular season, the Oak Creek Knights will begin the WIAA playoffs as a No. 1 seed and host Milwaukee Hamilton in the first round.

Pairings were released Satuday afternoon, a day after the Knights finished the regular season with a 69-7 drubbing of Kenosha Indian Trail.

The Knights and Wildcats, who finished with a 3-5 record and a No. 8 seed, square off at 7 p.m. Friday at Oak Creek High School. The winner takes on either No. 5 Milwaukee Riverside or No. 4 Kenosha Bradford.

Other first-round games in Oak Creek's group: Muskego (No. 6) at Badger (No. 3) and Racine Horlick (No. 7) at Franklin (No. 2).

Two victories by the Sabers and Knights would set up a third-round showdown between the two rivals and a repeat of the Sept. 7 game, in which Oak Creek won 24-7.
