The Friends of the is in need of donations for its annual book sale, scheduled for Aug. 7.
The group is looking for items including hardcover and paperback adult and children's books, CDs and DVDs. Items can be dropped off at the library during regular open hours.
The annual sale is held at the library, 8620 S. Howell Ave., in conjunction with National Night Out. This year's event will be held from 3-5 p.m. for Friends of the Library members and 5-8 p.m. for the general public.
If you are not a member and would like to shop early, a membership can be bought at the door.
