Fundraiser Set For Family of Deputy Aleman

An all-day event will be held Sept. 2 and feature raffles, dinner and live music. Aleman was killed in a car accident while on duty July 31.

A Sept. 2 event will help raise money for the family of Oak Creek resident and Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy Sergio Aleman, who while on duty in late July.

"Nothing we can say or do can ever replace the love and devotion that Sergio had for his family, but at least we can help to ease the family's stress and pain," County Supervisor Peggy Romo West said in a news release. "By helping to support Sergio's family financially, we can express our love for Sergio and our concern for his children."

The all-day benefit starts at noon at Clifford's Supper Club, 10418 W. Forest Home Ave. At 12:17 p.m., the time of Aleman's death, a moment of silence will be held.

Raffles will be held every 15 minutes between 1:30 and 8 p.m. A silent auction will be held from 1 to 8 p.m.

The benefit also includes a dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. as well as live music between 9 p.m. and midnight.
