Help a Wisconsin School District Win $100,000

Two houses in southeast Wisconsin were chosen as national finalists in Patch's Deck the House contest. Your votes could help win $100,000 for the Whitnall or Racine Unified school districts.

Could one of these be the best “decked” house in the country?

Possibly.

Congrats go out to these families, whose light displays have been chosen as finalists in our Deck the House contest:

  • Mike and Debbie Pikula, whose light display in Caledonia takes more than 100 hours to program and features a talking Christmas tree.
  • The Ackmanns in Greenfield, whose programmed light display is a family affair bringing mom, dad and son (a Whitnall alum) together in the endeavor.

We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors.

We loved seeing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. We’re still looking for the one home so spectacularly decorated that it could be the national grand prize winner of our contest—and it could be a home from right here in Caledonia.

Until Dec. 28, vote in our contest to help win $100,000 for Racine Unified or Whitnall.

All you have to do is visit this page to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote. On Dec. 29, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest.

So, now’s your chance to tell us who has the best “decked” house in the country. Vote today!
