Library Seeks Teen Input

Library creates Teen Advisory Board for teens in 8th to 12th grade.

Calling all teens: The Oak Creek Public Library wants to hear from you.

The Oak Creek Public Library is creating of a Teen Advisory Board to help plan programming, make suggestions for materials to purchase and meet other teens from the community.

In addition to helping the library, participation in the advisory board may meet requirements for community service hours for various organizations for the teens.

Meetings will usually be held on the third Thursday of every month.The next meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. This group will be open to all area teens, in grades 8 to 12. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. No registration is required.

Additionally, the library will hold a Teen Game Night on Thursday, Oct. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Teens are invited to come to the library meeting room to relax and have fun while playing a variety of board games and card games. This event is open to all area teens, age 13 to 18. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. No registration is required.
