Library's 'Buddies' Program Keeps Kids Keen On Reading

Oak Creek Public Library's new 'Summer Reading Buddies' program pairs up young readers with teen volunteers.

It's not always easy keeping youngsters interested in reading during the summer months.

However, a new program at the Oak Creek Public Library aims to do just that by teaming up kids ages 5 to 10 with teenage volunteers who will help the youngsters build their reading skills.

Teen librarian Sarah Corso talks about the Summer Reading Buddies program. For more information on the program, visit the library's website or call (414) 764-4400.
