Local Groups Benefit From Rotary Club Grants

Organization distributes thousands of dollars to philanthropic groups.

The Rotary Club of Mitchell Field is still going strong after more than 50 years of serving the southern Milwaukee County area.

Just ask any of the philanthropic organizations that received the thousands of dollars worth of grants the Rotary Club distributed this year. The club presented checks last month to these 2011 recipients:

  • American Legion Auxiliary - Van Eimeren/Kolonka Unit 27
  • Mequon-Thiensville Rotary Club - Guatemala Medical Relief Project
  • Interfaith - Cudahy/St. Francis
  • Interfaith - Southeast
  • Boy Scouts of America - South Shore District
  • Meta House, Inc.
  • Project Concern
  • St. Stephen's Family Life Center
  • Girl Scouts of Wisconsin - Southeast
  • Amateur Radio Emergency Corps
  • Pearls for Teen Girls

The organization raises money by hosting an annual auction, participating in a Super Bowl raffle and collecting member fines and dues.
