Mayor's Weight Loss Challenge Kicks Off Saturday

Mayor Steve Scaffidi is pledging to lose 20 pounds and is recruiting other community members and organizations to join him in getting fit.

Mayor Steve Scaffidi's Weight Loss Challenge officially gets under way Saturday morning at Oak Creek High School.

Scaffidi is pledging to lose 20 pounds and is recruiting as many others as he can to see how much weight they can collectively lose. The challenge lasts until Feb. 10.

At the event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, people will register and hear from nutrition experts, health and medical practitioners, see fitness demonstrations and get information from organizations involved.
