PHOTOS: Sikh Community Mourns After Deadly Shooting

The Oak Creek and Sikh communities began the mourning process Monday, the day after six Sikh members were shot and killed at a temple.

Members of the Sikh community are in mourning after a 40-year-old army veteran rampaged an Oak Creek temple, killing six people and then himself.

Sikh Indians, wearing turbans to cover their uncut hair due to religious practices, wept at the press confrence where area police divulged information about the shooting. Some even kneeled on the ground and leaned on each other for emotional support.

Police are still gathering information with the FBI, and Patch will be there every step of the way. To read more about the tragedy in Oak Creek, visit .
