Tree Lighting Kicks Off Holiday Season

A big crowd gathered at Oak Creek City Hall and Community Center and got in the holiday spirit.

The unofficial start of the holiday season in Oak Creek came Sunday night with tree-lighting festivities at Oak Creek City Hall and Community Center.

Santa arrived by fire truck at 5 p.m. to officially light the city's tree at City Hall, then headed inside to the Oak Creek Community Center, where he distributed special Christmas treat bags.

The community center hosted a big crowd that enjoyed refreshments, a children's coloring contest and musical entertainment from the Oak Creek High School Choir and Sweet Music of Oak Creek.

Check out some more photos of the tree lighting ceremony on the city of Oak Creek's Facebook page.

Grow up. We won't forget either. That those of you who had a little bit, held tightfisted to it likeRead More a four year old unwilling to share his toy truck. That you endorsed and supported a man who has gone on to undermine this state, its jobs, its infrastructure, its education system, its people, its very foundation. You remember...it was you who did this.
