Breast Health Program Coming to Oak Creek 12/17

What if there was a local place where women could talk openly and learn about their breast health? Where they could feel empowered to ask questions and minimize fears associated with breast cancer and screenings?

That resource is coming to Oak Creek.

In its fourth year, Kohl’s Conversations for the Cure is expanding to reach more women in the region. Through this program, women are getting together—under the guidance of an educated leader—to talk about anything related to breast health. They’re learning, talking and sharing. And they’re doing something to take control of their health.

Amberlea Childs, Conversations leader, will hold a Conversation at the Oak Creek Public Library, 8620 S. Howell Ave., at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17. Local businesses and nearby agencies have been invited to participate in and join the Conversation.  Participants will enjoy an engaging discussion about family history, personal risk, signs and symptoms, as well as healthy lifestyle choices they can make to reduce their risk of developing breast cancer. This event is open to the public.

We invite you to join us at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 to experience the power of this Conversation firsthand.
