Realty, Reality....Full time Agents

Summer is here, finally, and with that, summer selling season is on. While more homes sales happen in warmer weather in Wisconsin, so does most family/fun activity. What does that mean to you the seller or buyer?

With the turn in the market the past few years, many agents have gone to working "part time". They have other jobs and still want to do fun things with their family, as we all should.  However, you do not want an agent who is only there at certain times of the day if you have an important issue to deal with, do you? If they are working another job Monday through Friday from 8-5, how can they contact the title company if you have a question or set up showings for a prospective buyer of your property if they cannot make a call to you until their lunch break? What about if they are working nights and weekends when that is the only time you have available to go to a showing on that hot new listing? By then, in this age of instant answers, a buyer may have moved on to another property other than yours or you may have lost out on the one home you wanted to see.

Select your agent with care; are they going to be able to assist with issues at all times of the day? Do they have the desire to service you correctly? When I started as an agent, I had several months of reserve funds knowing that my first pay check could be 6-8 months away. I came prepared to take care of my clients first, not worry about the money. That is a principle I still have today. I love what I do and the money follows, but the client comes first. So I make sure I am available for my clients.

I understand we all must start somewhere, but when you can only commit part time, expect part time results. We are a full time Real Estate Brokerage; we are here for you, the client. Furthermore I am backed up by other full time agents for those days I am with my family. We have been known to answer texts, and email at 3 am just as often as at 10 am, 3 pm and 10 pm. So, whether you are looking to buy or sell, or perhaps both, please give me a call; I will more than likely answer before the 3rd ring, unless I am with a client already!
