3rd Annual SMOC Interfaith SnowBall Gala Fundraiser

Back by popular demand, Interfaith will be hosting its 3nd Annual Snowball Gala on Friday, February 11th from 6-9pm at the Oak Creek Community Center, 8580 S. Howell Avenue in Oak Creek. Tickets for the Gala are $25/each or $250/table. This year's event features Jack Norman catering, local entertainment, door prizes, silent auction and more. 2011 grand prizes include a fishing excursion or "party boat" cruise, a one-of-a-kind necklace and a romantic getaway for two.

Tickets can be purchased at the South Milwaukee Oak Creek (SMOC) Interfaith office located at 1327 Marshall Avenue in South Milwaukee or at the Oak Creek Community Center, 8580 S. Howell Avenue in Oak Creek.

SMOC Interfaith is a non-profit, community based program that relies on volunteers to provide FREE OF CHARGE services to all older adults (60+) living in South Milwaukee and Oak Creek. Interfaith's mission is “linking older adults with a caring community” and the objective is to help keep all of those “special people” in your life living independently for as long as they can. Last year SMOC Interfaith volunteers provided over 2400 services in the neighborhood, including transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, minor home repairs and companionship. Because SMOC Interfaith's primary source of income is limited community block grant funding coupled with financial support from local sponsoring congregations and businesses, the annual "Snowball Gala" fund raising event is vital to the continued success of the program.
