Sheep in the City Getaway 2013

Sheep in the City, an annual knitting event in Oak Creek, will soon be here!

It is getting to be that time of year, when I am working at getting things together for Sheep in the City Getaway. It is held each year, and this will be our 4th Getaway at the Comfort Suites in Oak Creek.

If you love knitting, crochet, and fiber and a little nonfiber activity, you won't want to miss this event. I am getting the vendors in order and the activities, but there is so much more to plan. The greatest thing is the time of year it is held, Feb. 22-24. Cold and dreary and we are all looking for color and texture like we have in our summer and fall.

Meanwhile, the renovation at Just 4 Ewe is pretty much finished and I have all sorts of recycled items, from neck ties and sweaters, for sale. No more yarn — well my handspun, but not commercial. I am taking time in life to do more of what I love. I am the slowest knitter and couldn't keep up with the constant arriving of new yarns to knit samples. I do carry fiber for spinning, felting and just touching too!

I am tired of all the election banter, so it is a great time to pick up a book, or some craft and sink into oblivian with something you love. So I am getting warmed up to do more creating, for the holidays, with 'ewe'nique gifts and supporting local businesses. So mark your calenders for February and hope to see you there.
