The Oak Creek Library is happy to announce several FREE programs being held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC), such as Budgeting 101 where participants will learn the skills needed to plan and stick to a budget. This workshop is for anyone interested in budgeting for the first time or people who would like to review their current budgets. Budgeting 101 will be held at the Oak Creek Public Library on Monday, October 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Also being offered in October is a workshop called Turning Your Hobby into a Business, where participants will have the opportunity to explore the potential of their business idea, find ways to market the product or service, and identify resources for starting their business, including an introduction to business planning. Turning Your Hobby into a Business will be held at the Oak Creek Public Library on Thursday, October 25 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and again on Monday, November 12 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Finally, the library is happy to bring you a November workshop, The Invisible Threat of Identity Theft. Participants will learn ways to avoid being victimized by identity theft as well as how to protect themselves and their family. This workshop will focus on practical strategies anyone can use and will include an overview of identity theft, common occurrence and prevention strategies.
