Oak Creek Resident Remembered As Major Broadcasting Figure

Bill Haig was inducted into the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame after successful stints at WTMJ and the Milwaukee Brewers.

An Oak Creek resident who helped make WTMJ the area's premiere radio station for sports and ran the Milwaukee Brewers' broadcast operations for nearly 20 years has passed away.

Bill Haig, 78, began his career in 1954 at WFOX in Waukesha, according to a Journal Sentinel report. Upon retiring from the Brewers in 1997, he was inducted into the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
