Shawn Holmes featured in Greendale Community Theatre’s Winter Show: THE FULL MONTY

Shawn Holmes joins the cast of Greendale Community Theatre’s (GCT’s) The Full Monty, January 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18.

The Greendale Community Theatre (GCT) is proud to raise its curtains to The Full Monty this January. Rich in song, dance and full-frontal hilarity, The Full Monty teases audiences by adding comedy to real-life situations, contemplations and fears. This will be the company’s fifth annual winter show.

The Full Monty takes place inside Greendale High School’s newly renovated Reiman Family Arts Wing, 6801 Southway, Greendale. Performance dates are January 9,10,11,16,17,and 18.  All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Known for its edgy performance choices and next-to-professional production value and talent, GTC has captivated audiences since 2003 with productions like Avenue Q, Bat Boy: The Musical, Next to Normal and the local premiere of RENT.

After GCT’s 2013 summer smash-hit production of Les Miserables (the company’s biggest show, in all ways, to date), the cast, crew and loyal audience needed a lighter show, packed with comedic gold.

“The music in The Full Monty is amazing,” said Tom Reifenberg, Music Director for GCT.  “We’ve been huge fans of the composer, David Yazbek, ever since we saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in New York.”

Artistic Director Brian Bzdawka agrees. “The best thing about this musical is that it is about ordinary, everyday people,” he said.  “The situations are real and really funny.  You don't have to love theater to love this musical.”

Tickets are available online at www.greendaletheatre.org, or by calling the Box Office at (414) 817-7600. Tickets are also available at the door at GCT’s Box Office which opens at 6:00 p.m. on performance days. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.
