Rash of Car Break-Ins on Oak Creek's West Side

Cash, iPod among items taken.

At least a dozen cars were entered overnight Sunday in a neighborhood just east of 27th Street.

The break-ins were discovered about 6 a.m. Monday on Carrington, Lindenwood and Sycamore avenues in the 2200, 2300 and 2400 blocks.

According to police reports, items taken included two GPS, cash and an iPod. In some cases, nothing was removed; in others, police were not able to make contact with the vehicle owner and couldn't determine if anything was missing.

Police were still investigating Monday and did not appear to have a suspect.
