Accident Victim Remains in Critical Condition

30-year-old South Milwaukee woman was passenger in crash Sunday.

A 30-year-old South Milwaukee woman remains in critical condition in the Froedtert Hospital intensive care unit after a four-car accident Sunday in Oak Creek.

The woman was a passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on Rawson Avenue about 11:45 a.m. The vehicle was hit by a car that police say ran a red light northbound on Howell Avenue, resulting in a multi-car accident.

The woman was taken to Froedtert by Flight for Life with life-threatening injuries, according to an report. Four others were also hospitalized; an update on their conditions was not available.

Police cited a 46-year-old Milwaukee man for running a red light and inattentive driving. An investigation is ongoing.
