After Anonymous Tip, Police Arrest Man For Intent to Deliver Marijuana

Police make traffic stop Monday night on Puetz Road and find 83 grams of marijuana in a backpack.

A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after cops found 83 grams of marijuana in a backpack.

According to an report:

An anonymous caller reported seeing a drug deal occur in the 8900 block of S. Wood Creek Drive just before 6 p.m. Monday. The caller said four male subjects were smoking marijuana in a small red car when the driver put a backpack in the trunk and drove away.

A police officer found the vehicle going westbound on Puetz Road and pulled it over in Franklin at Puetz and Yorkshire Circle.

The 19-year-old man was found driving without a valid license and arrested. During a search, the officer found two bags in his shorts pockets containing marijuana and $330 in cash.

Police asked the other occupants of the vehicle if they had any drugs. One man said he had marijuana in his right shoe and a marijuana pipe in his left shoe and turned them over to officers. He was cited for possession of marijuana.

Officers found no illegal contraband on the other two occupants. But in a search of the vehicle, police found marijuana shake on the front driver's side floor and a backpack in the trunk. Inside the backpack, officers discovered two boxes of plastic bags, a digital scale and two bags with marijuana.

The 19-year-old man admitted the backpack and its contents were his. He was arrested for marijuana possession with intent to deliver and also cited for operating without a valid license.
