Alleged Drunken Driver Arrested After Following Off-Duty Cop

Man pulled up behind an off-duty police officer and then drove away, according to a police report. Officers found the car at the man's residence and took him into custody.

An alleged drunken driver picked the wrong guy to start following Friday night.

According to an Oak Creek police report, an off-duty police officer noticed a vehicle following him about 9:30 p.m. The officer pulled over to let the vehicle pass, but the vehicle pulled up behind him.

The vehicle then drove off, but the officer later found it near S. Austin Street and E. Elm Road and called Oak Creek police.

An on-duty officer made contact at a residence and saw the man stumble to the door and speak with slurred speech, according to the report. He also had apparently urinated on himself.

The man admitted to drinking at a pub and driving home soon after, according to the police report. He had a preliminary blood-alcohol content of .21.
