Alleged Drunken Driver Hits Vehicle, Injures Driver

A 34-year-old Racine woman was arrested for OWI-causing injury after a crash early Saturday morning at Pennsylvania Avenue and Highway 100.

A 34-year-old Racine woman was arrested after she allegedly drove drunk and ran a stop sign early Saturday, crashing into a vehicle and injuring the driver.

According to the logbook, the woman was southbound on Pennsylvania Avenue about 3:20 a.m. Saturday when she ran a stop sign and struck a car traveling east on Highway 100.

That car rolled into the ditch and landed on its roof. The driver was trapped and had to be extricated by the . Paramedics took the driver to Froedtert Hospital for leg and arm injuries.

Police arrested the 34-year-old for operating while intoxicated-causing injury, according to the logbook.

She has not yet been charged.
