Burglary Attempt Thwarted By Dog

Police say dog appears to have scared off someone from entering home on Fitzsimmons Road.

believe someone tried to enter a residence on E. Fitzsimmons Road Sunday night but had to flee without getting away with anything.

The resident of the home told police she found her kitchen window wide open about 1:30 a.m. It appeared that whoever tried to enter was scared off by the resident's dog and did not enter the residence, according to a police report.Β 

The incident happened sometime between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 1:30 a.m. Monday. The kitchen window was unlocked but closed, the report said.

Nothing was taken and the home was not damaged. Office canvassed the area but did not locate any potential suspects.
