Car Smashes Into Vehicle In Funeral Procession

A 39-year-old Franklin man was cited for failure to yield to a funeral procession after accident Thursday at the Rawson and Howell intersection.

A vehicle in a funeral profession sustained severe damage when it was hit by a car Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Rawson and Howell avenues.

According to an Oak Creek police report, a car going west on Rawson Avenue proceeded through a green light and struck a vehicle that was southbound in the middle of a funeral procession about 2:10 p.m. Thursday.

Police cited a 39-year-old Franklin man for failure to yield to a funeral procession. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.
