Deer Crossing Highway 100 Causes Two-Car Crash

No one was injured in accident Wednesday night.

A car that slowed down for deer crossing Highway 100 was hit from behind, causing severe damage to both vehicles.

According to an Oak Creek police report, the vehicles were eastbound in the 3000 block of E. Highway 100 about 7 p.m. Wednesday when the first vehicle began slowing down for a group of deer crossing the roadway.

The driver of the vehicle behind it, however, did not see it slowing down and crashed into it, according to the report. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene.

A 43-year-old man was cited for following too closely. One of the passengers had a bruise and discomfort in his chest from the seatbelt, but declined medical transport.
