Deer Dies After Crashing Into Church Building

Incident occurred last Monday afternoon.

A deer crashed through a window at Grace Lutheran Early Childhood, 3381 E. Puetz Road, last week and eventually died inside the building, according to an report.

The deer struck the window about 3:10 p.m. Nov. 7 and was in an upstairs fellowship hall when police arrived, the report said. No people were injured and all children were in a different room.

According to the police report, the deer cut its left front leg and eventually bled out and died inside.

The case was turned over to the state Department of Natural Resources, which took possession of the deer.

A message left for the church was not immediately returned.
