Drunk Man Arrested After Break-In Attempt

20-year-old allegedly tried entering his neighbor's home.

An intoxicated man was caught trying to break into his neighbor’s house late Tuesday night, according to police.

According to a police report:

A resident saw his neighbor, a 20-year-old man, trying to pry open his back patio window. Later, the man was seen trying to enter the residence from a side window.

The resident chased him away and called 911. When officers arrived, the 20-year-old was outside his own house while his clothes, ID and debit card were found on his neighbor's property.

The man was intoxicated and told police they should write as many tickets as possible. His speech was slurred, he smelled like alcohol and he had red, glassy eyes. He also misstated his date of birth.

Police cited him for disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting/obstructing an officer.
