Man Drives to Oak Creek for Sex With 15-Year-Old, Police Say

A 25-year-old man has been charged with second-degree sexual assault after police found him lying in a 15-year-old girl's bed.

A 25-year-old man from Duluth, Minn., is accused of driving to Oak Creek to meet up with a 15-year-old girl and having sexual relations with her.

Luke A. Hamman was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with second-degree sexual assault of a child younger than 16 years old. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

The girl told police she had been talking with Hamman via e-mail since September, according to the criminal complaint. On Oct. 18, he told her he loved her and was going to show up at her Oak Creek home.

The Duluth Police Department contacted Oak Creek police after the man had been reported missing from Duluth and officers found online contact with the girl.

Police went to the girl's residence and eventually found the man hiding in the girl's bed. They both admitted to sexual activity, according to an Oak Creek police report.

Hamman has been turned over to the Justice 2000 program for monitoring while awaiting trial.
