Family of Deputy Killed in Crash Thanks Community for Support

Oak Creek resident and Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy Sergio Aleman was killed in a crash on Interstate 43 last week. Visitation and memorial service are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

The family of Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy Sergio Aleman has released a statement through the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department. . 

We, the Aleman Family, would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the entire community for the outpouring of love and support during this most difficult time.  Sergio truly has had a tremendous impact on the lives of many.  He was a loving husband, dedicated father and friend to many.  Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed.  We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office and all law enforcement personnel who have stood by our side and share in our loss. Warmest Regards, The Aleman Family


Funeral arrangements have been set: A public visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Max A. Sass and Sons Funeral Home, 8910 W. Drexel Ave., in Franklin. Family visitation will be from 8-9 p.m.The memorial service begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 723 Washington Ave., in Milwaukee. A procession, including law enforcement vehicles, will lead from the church to St. Adalbert's Cemetery, 2801 S. 6th St., in Milwaukee. The procession begins immediately after the ceremony. Members of the media will not be allowed inside the church or cemetery.

People who would like to help the Aleman family are able to make donations to accounts opened at two local banks by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office and the Milwaukee County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association. The Sergio Aleman Memorial Trust Fund at M&I Bank was opened by the DSA. Donations can be made at any M&I Bank location.The MCSO opened the Deputy Sergio ALeman Memorial Fund at Tri City National Bank. Donations can be made at any Tri City National Bank location. All proceeds from the accounts will benefit Aleman's family.
