On Nov. 5, Gates was drinking at a bar in Cudahy when he pushed another person and then sat at the bar giving the finger to other patrons. He was told to leave or police would come.

Gates then got into verbal argument with one of two women acquaintances outside of the bar. When officers arrived, they were standing nose-to-nose and Gates had dried blood on the side of his mouth.

After searching him, police found marijuana, cocaine and several prescription pills. Gates said he was holding the drugs for a guy he works for and that he doesn’t do drugs.

Gates is free from jail on a $500 signature bond while awaiting trial.
