Four Vehicles Involved In Domino-Like Accident

Two were injured at Howell and Centennial intersection.

A car hit from behind at a stoplight Saturday morning caused a domino effect, resulting in an accident involving four vehicles and minor injuries to two people.

According to an report, three vehicles were stopped in the southbound lanes of Howell Avenue at the intersection with Centennial Drive about 11:35 a.m.

A fourth vehicle came up from behind and rear-ended one of the vehicles. That vehicle then hit the car in front of it, which bumped into the first vehicle in the line.

The driver of the fourth vehicle, a 29-year-old South Milwaukee woman, told police she got distracted by a car exiting a nearby parking lot. She was cited for operating while suspended, no insurance and inattentive driving. She was also warned for improper child safety seat.

The vehicle she hit was towed. The driver of that vehicle complained of neck pain and her passenger hurt her wrist, according to a police report. They declined an ambulance, saying they would seek their own medical care.
