Good Samaritan Injured in Accident

A person trying to push a disabled vehicle out of traffic was struck by a car Tuesday night and taken to Froedtert Hospital.

A person trying to assist a disabled vehicle was injured in an accident Tuesday evening at the intersection of Drexel and Howell.

Police Capt. Steve Anderson said the driver behind a disabled vehicle was trying to help by pushing it out of traffic. 

However, another driver coming up from behind was unaware of the stopped vehicles and hit the Good Samaritan's vehicle, which caused it to roll forward and strike the driver, Anderson said.

The driver complained of left leg pain and was taken by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital.

The accident happened about 5:30 p.m. and caused traffic delays on Howell and Drexel avenues.
