Gun Drawn In I-94 Road Rage Incident Near College Ave.

Authorities found two guns and ammunition in 47-year-old's vehicle.

A 47-year-old Milwaukee man is facing three charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at a vehicle on Interstate 94 near College Avenue Dec. 27.

Mark Manning was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with two counts of endangering safety by use of dangerous weapon and one count of disorderly conduct.

Manning cut off a semi-truck on I-94 and then, when the semi driver flashed his brights, Manning pointed a gun at the truck, according to a criminal complaint. Fearing for his safety, the semi driver backed off, called 911 and continued to follow Manning's vehicle.

Both guns were loaded and officers found more ammunition and magazines in the car. Manning was wearing a holster.

Manning was informed he was under arrest and responded, "the semi driver was using his vehicle as a weapon and I was only defending myself." He added later, "I was surprised at how fast you found the other gun."

While being booked, Manning was questioned by other inmates regarding his holster and what happened. He provided the model of his firearm and then stated that "a semi was tailgating me and if he hadn't have backed off I would have put four rounds right into the engine block."

Manning has a concealed carry permit for the states of Indiana and Arizona, both of which have reciprocity with Wisconsin.
