Man Accused of Leading Police on Chase, Fleeing To Shed
Police say an Oak Creek man went 60 miles per hour through a residential neighborhood and ran stop signs before he fled to a shed on Puetz Road.
A 43-year-old Oak Creek man is accused of leading South Milwaukee police officers on a car chase and then fleeing to a shed in the backyard of a residence on Puetz Road.
Roy Paul Groves Jr. was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with attempting to flee a police officer. If convicted, he faces up to 1 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

At 12:50 p.m. Friday, a South Milwaukee police officer spotted a pickup truck driven by Groves run a four-way stop at Williams and 5th avenues.
The officer tried to pull the truck over, but Groves continued another 1.25 miles at a little more than 25 miles per hour. He then drove over a curb and nearly hit a telephone pole before an officer was able to block the truck.

After the truck came to a stop, officers walked up to the truck with their guns drawn. Groves shook his head "no" and sped off at more than 60 miles per hour through a residential neighborhood, running four stop signs at busy intersections.
Officers found Groves 20 minutes later hiding in a shed in a backyard in the 2400 block of E. Puetz Road in Oak Creek.
He's in Milwaukee County Jail on $10,000 bail while awaiting trial.
