Autistic Boy Attacked

Man charged with domestic abuse after the child's mother told police he pushed the victim and confronted her with a knife.

A 48-year-old Oak Creek man is charged with domestic abuse after police say he attacked a 14-year-old child with autism.

According to the criminal complaint, the defendant was drunk Sunday when he began yelling at the child and pushed him on the chest. The child then fell backward onto a couch. Patch is not naming the defendant to protect the identity of the victim.Β

The boy's mother got scared, the complaint states, and went to the patio to call police. She later told officers the man came toward her holding a knife and tried to force the door open while she held it shut.Β
