Man Charged With 3rd OWI After Drunken Drive to McDonald's

30-year-old was seen driving erratically on I-94 before stopping at McDonald's on Ryan Road.

A 30-year-old Milwaukee man is facing his third drunken driving charge after he nearly hit a car on Interstate 94 on his way to an Oak Creek McDonald's.

Kevin Sylvester Ferguson, 30, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of third-offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he could spend up to a year in Milwaukee County Jail and face $2,000 in fines.

On Oct. 1, a man was driving southbound on I-94 near W. College Ave. when Ferguson nearly sideswiped his car. The man followed him and noticed Ferguson continue to drive erratically across three lanes.

After he got off the expressway at Ryan Road, Ferguson hit the median and drove to , 9741 S. 13th St., where police arrested him.

Ferguson failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.23, nearly three times the legal limit.

He was previously convicted of OWI in 2004 and 2007. Ferguson will make his initial appearance in court Jan. 20.
