Man Faces 3rd OWI After March Crash

31-year-old was barely understandable after accident, according to criminal complaint.

A South Milwaukee man is facing his third drunken driving charge after he was involved in a March accident in Oak Creek.

Jason Lang, 31, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Monday with one count of third-offense operating while intoxciated. If convicted, he could face up to one year in Milwaukee County Jail and $2,000 in fines.

On March 9, arrived at the scene of an accident near S. 15th Ave. and E. Puetz Road and found Lang stumbling around and smelling of intoxicants.

Officers were barely able to understand Lang and he was taken to a hospital for a blood test, which showed he had a high amount of Temazepan in his blood stream. Police also arrested a second person who allegedly fled the scene .

Lang was previously convicted of OWI in 2010 and September. He will make his initial court appearance Jan. 12.
