Man Facing Drug Charges After Arrest in Piggly Wiggly Parking Lot

35-year-old charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

A 35-year-old South Milwaukee man has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after he was arrested in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot early Tuesday morning.

According to an Oak Creek police report:

Police saw a vehicle go behind , 2200 E. Rawson Ave., and the adjacent strip mall about 1 a.m., which they thought suspicious because all of the businesses were closed.

An officer stopped the vehicle, which had three people inside. The driver, a 27-year-old woman from Milwaukee, told police she was driving because the other two were intoxicated. She was later cited for driving with a suspended license.

Police found a bag containing more than 90 grams of marijuana, an open bottle of Vodka, drug paraphernalia and another bag with 1.5 grams of marijuana.

Santos Rodriguez Jr. was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. He was taken to Milwaukee County Jail.

On Wednesday, Rodriguez was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with possession with intent to deliver, a felony.

His initial court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 27.
