Man Found Passed Out at PPG Arrested For OWI

Police arrested a man whose blood-alcohol content, according to a report, was three times the legal limit to drive.

A man seen stumbling around the parking lot at PPG Industries, 10800 S. 13th St., had a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit to drive, according to police.

A PPG security guard called police just after midnight July 23 about a vehicle parked with its blinker on for the previous 15 minutes, according to a police report. The guard also said the man staggered around the parking lot and appeared intoxicated.

When officers arrived, the man was passed out in the driver's seat, with the keys in the ignition and an empty bottle of vodka in the passenger's seat, according to the report.

The man told police he did not know where he was coming from or where he was going. After failing field sobriety tests, the man provided a breath sample that showed a blood-alcohol content of .24, three times the legal limit to drive, according to the police report.
